Ogilvy & Mather London Promotes Sam Cartmell to Deputy ECD
Ogilvy & Mather London (O&M London) has promoted Sam Cartmell to the position of Deputy ECD, effective immediately. In this newly created role, Cartmell will report to O&M London’s new CCO, Mick Mahoney. He will support Mahoney in the day-to-day running of O&M London’s creative department to ensure that the creative product is best in class.

In his new position, Cartmell will also join the agency’s broader management team to help build and drive a vision for the agency. He will continue to have responsibility for key clients across the business.

Mick Mahoney, CCO, O&M London said, “Charlie, Kev, Clare and I have exciting plans for O&M London and we are in unanimous agreement that Sam is the kind of person to help us deliver them. He is a talented creative with diverse experience and he gets what we’re trying to do here at O&M. He also happens to be a lovely bloke to have around.”

Cartmell said, “The new senior team here are united in their vision to produce world class, socially relevant work. To be asked to be part of the team that makes that happen is a wonderful opportunity and is already proving to be hugely exciting.”

Since joining the agency as Creative Partner in July 2015, Cartmell has worked across clients including Pizza Hut Delivery, BP and Heineken UK.
