Ogilvy & Mather London (O&M London) has been appointed by London craft gin distiller, Sipsmith Independent Spirits, to work on strategic and creative projects for their hand crafted small batch London Dry Gin brand.
Sipsmith pioneered London’s gin revival, led by Sam Galsworthy, Fairfax Hall and Master Distiller Jared Brown, who set up London’s first copper gin distillery in nearly 200-years. Thanks to the success of Sipsmith and the ongoing growth of the craft gin category, Sipsmith has seen its portfolio expand to include new gin products such as VJOP (Very Junipery Over Proof) and the recently launched Lemon Drizzle Gin. Sipsmith was recently accredited CoolBrand status for 2016/2017 and has been voted as a Top 10 Trending Brand by The World’s 50 Best Bars.
Charlie Rudd, CEO, O&M London said, “We’re delighted to have been asked by Sipsmith to work with them on the next stage of their journey. The brand has a wonderful and unique story to tell and we’re looking forward to helping them tell it.”
Shelley Macintyre, Global Head of Marketing at Sipsmith, commented, “Everything we produce at Sipsmith celebrates the depth of thought and creativity that goes into creating gin of uncompromising quality. Crucially for us, the team at O&M London understand the importance of retaining our London craft story whilst simultaneously growing our brand at home and abroad.”
The agency was appointed without a pitch and will start working with the brand immediately.
