Ogilvy Health UK announced today they have appointed John McPartland as executive creative director. A recognised leader in his field, McPartland has specialised in the healthcare sector for over a decade, becoming one of its most accomplished and awarded creative leaders.  

McPartland will be responsible for leading the creative ambition and product in Ogilvy Health’s London office, which services a range of global and regional clients including many of the world’s top pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. He will spearhead a team of 30 creatives working alongside over 200 healthcare specialists in disciplines across the healthcare continuum ranging from publication planning, medical education, brain sciences, public relations, experience and influence. 

In this role, McPartland will be responsible for Ogilvy Health’s creative strategy, focusing on new and existing markets and key network client opportunities. McPartland brings with him an expertise refined from both network and independent creative agencies, most recently Havas, and two years in Scotland at The Leith Agency, to expand their health offering. He has picked up multiple awards along the way, including at LIA, D&AD, Cannes, Clios, Creative Floor, Andy’s, One Show, Art Directors Club, Roses, Creative Circle and more. In 2022 he was ranked No1. Creative Director UK in Lurzer’s Archive, saw The Leith Agency rank No8. in Advertising Health's global Top 10 agencies (no3 in EMEA), as well as picking up a Grand Clio and more than 60 other industry accolades.
