Chris joins Ogilvy Canada’s leadership team with a strong appreciation of the delicate balance between national integration and regional nuance

Ogilvy Canada today announced Chris Perron as chief client officer. In his role, previously occupied by now-president Marie-Lise Campeau, Perron will be responsible for client development and account management strategy, overseeing Ogilvy Canada’s collaborative culture to foster strong, business-forward client relationships. As a Quebecer with a 25-year career based in Ontario, Perron joins Ogilvy Canada’s leadership team with a strong appreciation of the delicate balance between national integration and regional nuance. Prior to Ogilvy, he most recently served as executive vice president, general manager for No Fixed Address, where his remit included oversight of client relationships, agency operations and delivering award-winning work.

Marie-Lise Campeau, president of Ogilvy Canada, said: “At Ogilvy Canada, we care deeply about the work, and you can’t care about the work without also caring deeply about the teams that come together to create it. Chris always leads by example as a hands-on partner committed to the best possible creative experience for all involved – and he brings to this role a flawless reputation for doing just that. I also believe that Chris’ experience and personal affinities with Canada and Quebec’s cultural make up is a great fit for our teams and an advantage we can count on to continue making our work more impactful than ever. We are excited to have him join and help build the future of Ogilvy Canada.”

Francesco Grandi, chief creative officer for Ogilvy Canada, said: “Bold, culture-defining work – that’s our creative currency at Ogilvy Canada. But the way you arrive at those ideas is through absolute trust, teamwork, and positive intent. We always say we’re not selling to our clients; we’re solving their business problems in the most creative way. I can speak for myself and for my co-Chief Creative Officer, Gavin Drummond, when I say Chris is the perfect embodiment of that. He’s all about enabling the kind of relationships and work we want to create here. Also, he’s got a great laugh. I wish this press release had audio.”

Ogilvy Canada works with category-leading brands across a variety of categories including TD Bank, H&R Block Canada, Mondelez, Unilever and Corby Spirit and Wine, York University, Cora restaurants and Benny&Co.

Chris Perron said: “It’s true that our job is to make work that lives in culture, but as a company, our own culture is the most important thing we do. How we connect and work together, prioritizing transparency and accountability, affects every layer of our business. It’s something I’ve learned time and time again across my career, and I’m excited to continue leveraging this mindset at Ogilvy Canada – an agency that shares my belief in the power of partnership to drive business.”

In addition to serving as EVP, General Manager at No Fixed Address, Perron has held agency and account leadership roles at FCB Canada, Leo Burnett Toronto and BBDO Canada. Over the course of his 25 years in advertising, Perron’s experience spans nearly every segment including CPG, food and beverage, retail, government and not-for-profit.  An Account Lead for the first 15 years of his career, it was at FCB Canada where his remit expanded to include agency operations driven by a desire to address client business challenges through the lens of creativity, underpinned with a foundation rooted in partnership, collaboration, transparency, and team engagement.
