Independent creative house ODD has hired Ogilvy’s Greg McAlinden as Creative Director. McAlinden, who will oversee a number of accounts at ODD, has a strong digital background and proven experience in putting creative innovation at the heart of brand campaigns.
Greg joins after nine years within the Ogilvy group, as Digital Creative Director for Brand Activation and Creative Director at OgilvyAction, and then Geometry Global, following the merger between OgilvyAction and G2 Joshua. Greg has overseen accounts including Coca Cola, Vodafone, Bacardi, Motorola, Kraft, Kodak, BP, Triumph and Sage.
McAlinden joins to spearhead the development of ODD’s creative department, working closely with Founder and Creative Director Nick Stickland, and ex DDB and ITV Senior Strategist, Kathryn Jubrail. Over the last year the agency has doubled its turnover and grown in headcount by 30%, as well as making a number of important strategic hires. Nick Stickland, Founder and creative director, ODD said, “We are delighted to welcome Greg. He brings a wealth of experience, passion, and knowledge in and beyond the digital landscape. Now is the perfect time for someone of his calibre to join the team, as we continue to grow and create standout campaigns for our clients.”
Greg McAlinden, creative director, ODD added, “I have admired ODD’s output for some time. Our outlook, approach and ambition chime well and I look forward to what I hope will be a fruitful relationship.”
