Ocean Outdoor, pioneering in digital out of home media, has announced a partnership with the new and disruptive video streaming platform Lounges.tv.
The multi-year deal between the digital advertising specialist and the new streaming platform, backed by global music mogul Simon Cowell, is set to expand Lounges’ support for a better deal for music creators online. Ocean manages some of the most famous advertising spaces in the UK, including the iconic Piccadilly lights and BFI IMAX. This partnership continues Lounges.tv’s mission to democratise the content creation industry and give artists a higher proportion of the revenue generated from their work.
The partnership marks a significant contribution from Ocean Outdoor who will be supporting Lounges.tv to get their content seen nationally across the UK with a series of exciting outdoor activations including the major cities of London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh over the coming years.
Lounges.tv addresses the long-standing issue around revenues for creators by providing a platform where creators get to keep 80% of their streaming income, and are rapidly paid within 24 hours of their on-demand content or live stream.
Lounges.tv offers creators a platform to share exclusive content with fans through live interactive and video-on-demand streaming. No additional equipment is needed to start uploading content to Lounges from home, beyond a phone or a webcam and it only takes moments to stream. The platform also offers creators with access to selected partner venues that already have professional cameras, audio and sound and stream engineers on hand, including the venue located in The Outernet District, known as The Lower Third on London’s Tottenham Court Road.
Thousands of creators have already signed up to the ad-free platform, which, in addition to Simon Cowell, is backed also by iconic musician Prince’s former manager Kiran Sharma and BBC iPlayer’s Ben Lavender.
