Seasoned production talent returns to cement post studio’s premium service offering

Ntropic Hires Senior Producer Will Mok

Following the recent successful launch of its NYC colour department and the addition of colourist Ayumi Ashley, award-winning content creator Ntropic has hired Will Mok as senior producer. A veteran of some of the industry’s most celebrated post-production studios, Mok will collaborate with Ntropic’s New York and LA teams, including colourist Nick Sanders, to further strengthen the company’s colour, VFX, and design capabilities and cement its status as a leading boutique post-production house.

As a former member of Ntropic’s production team, Mok’s return marks his homecoming to the bi-coastal studio. “Having worked in a variety of production roles, I was looking to lean a bit more into the colour side of post-production while still staying connected to the VFX work and clients,” said Mok. “Coming back just felt like a perfect fit for my needs. I have deep relationships with so many people at Ntropic, like creative directors Ryan Duggan and Aaron Vasquez, that it was like coming home. Also, I heard about Ayumi’s great reputation and jumped at the chance to work with her."

Over the course of his career, Mok has held senior production roles at such respected companies as The Mill (NY and London), Gretel, and Click 3X. At Ntropic, he will be balancing the artistry of each project against the needs of the client, giving creatives the ability to produce more beautiful and impactful work. “I think everyone comes in to do great work, so the goal is to allow that to happen without compromising the timeline or message,” Mok says.

Mok’s addition is the latest in a series of major announcements for Ntropic’s colour department. Most recently, colourist Nick Sanders completed work on the high-profile film Rising for R/GA and The Ad Council’s 'Love Has No Labels' campaign. Ntropic colourist Ayumi Ashley and executive producer Helena Lee also worked with non-profit Free the Bid, building out their database of international female colourists in furtherance of their mission to promote equal opportunities for women across the production pipeline.

“2018 marked a great year with the launch of Ntropic NY's colour department and we wanted to support that growth,” explains Lee. “Will's addition is sure to build on our momentum, offering the full gamut of production and post-production services to our top-tier clients.”
