Strategic brand agency Notepad creates and launches a disruptive new brand for Iomart - one of the UK’s leading cloud computing and managed hosting companies.
Instead of the typical industry focus on complexity, data, and technical jargon, the new Iomart brand celebrates the company’s focus on consistently making life straightforward for their customers. An insight supported by findings from a series of workshops with Iomart’s global teams and existing client interviews.
In a category dominated by stock imagery of connectivity and corporate high-fives, Notepad used art direction that focuses on warm and friendly photography of the Iomart team and its very happy customers. By pairing this with a relatable tone of voice, big blocks of eye-catching colour, and expressive but simple illustrative marks, the Iomart team has a system that is easy to execute across all digital and physical touchpoints.
Throughout the new identity, Notepad focused on using clear-cut and down-to-earth language which champions Iomart’s focus on simplicity, while positioning them as a much more approachable and collaborative alternative to their major competitors.
To launch the new brand, Notepad worked with Iomart to develop a creative launch campaign that cemented their new straightforward positioning across OOH sites in Glasgow, London, and Manchester. The campaign was further supported by Notepad completely reimagining Iomart’s physical brand experience at major trade events, and launch creative across all digital platforms.
