Nomads, the creative innovation agency which opened its doors last month, has bolstered its senior management team with the appointment of Jon Haywood as its new Head of Strategy.
Haywood, formerly Planning Director and cultural attaché at Dare Vancouver, will report in to former Head of Strategy Lisa Lee, who now takes on the role of global strategy director. He will take on the day-to-day running of Nomads Amsterdam’s planning, leading a five-strong team as well as continue to develop the behavioural economics practice he’s developed in recent years; using social science to derive a whole new perspective on consumer behaviour that enables brands to transform their consumer experience.
Haywood has a strong global background, having worked with international clients including Unilever and Diageo. Most recently he led Dare’s planning operation in North America and prior to that spent four years at Dare London leading the BMW UK and Sony Ericsson global accounts.
Jon has won numerous prestigious awards including: a Cannes Lion, Media innovation Gold and Silver Awards and Campaign Digital award and BIMA awards for integrated campaigns.
Hans Howarth, CEO of Nomads, said: “Nomads has a very strong commitment to planning and Jon's international background will strengthen this further – he not only has an outstanding history in digital, he has a natural talent for the borderless thinking we champion at Nomads. This is no more evident than in the truly integrated work he did for the British Army.”
Haywood added: “Nomads has the sort of entrepreneurial agility and commitment to innovation that, coupled with an exceptional client list, makes it a very compelling proposition, not just for me, but for clients seeking transformational thinking for their brands.”
