Nike's Women's World Cup Ad Is a Blockbuster
Nike has an illustrious history of big, cinematic, minutes-long soccer ads. But they all have one overarching thing in common. They're made with the men's game in mind. 

At least, that was the case until this past weekend or, more specifically, during half time of Saturday's Champions League final. The game between Liverpool and Tottenham was far from groundbreaking but this three-minute spot, created Wieden+Kennedy Portland for the Women's World Cup, could mark an important moment in the women's game and its global popularity. 

Directed by Prettybird's Francois Rousselet, the spot is a whirlwind journey through the mind of 10-year-old Makena Cook (who is wearing the limited-edition 'Dream Further' jersey, Nike's first ever kids-only football shirt designed specifically for girls), as she encounters stars of both the women's and men's game as well as former England player Alex Scott and Esports star F2TEKKZ. 

The frenetic nature of the film is further helped along by the soundtrack of Joan Jett & the Blackhearts' 'Bad Reputation'. The end tagline reads, "Don't change your dream. Change the World."
