Nick Lieberman Directs Fendi Renaissance: New York

BIPOC-owned creative studio, production and post-production company Scheme Engine has collaborated with Juilliard and Fendi to produce Fendi Renaissance's latest episode of the Anima Mundi performance series, filmed at the Lincoln Center and Juilliard. Directed by Nick Lieberman, who worked with photographer Ben Vogel to capture six students from The Juilliard School, decked out in Fendi attire performing master’s jazz guitarist and composer Aaron Matson’s Rollerblading in Harlem, which was commissioned by Fendi for this project. The sextet features saxophonist Colin Waters, trumpeter Summer Camargo, drummer TJ Reddick, bassist Jayla Chee, pianist Tyler Henderson, and trombonist Jasim Perales

“The current pandemic has given us an unpredictable set of ever-changing variables. Perfect for Jazz! The art of mastering the moment with insight, execution, and feeling. Director Nick Morgan Lieberman has done fantastic work which clearly reveals that Jazz, Juilliard, New York, and Fendi play quite well together. We are proud to participate,” said Wynton Marsalis, director of Juilliard Jazz and Pulitzer and GRAMMY award-winning trumpeter and composer.

Fendi has started a donation program with Juilliard towards student scholarships in the spirit of supporting creativity at every level, enabling current and future talent to realize their highest aspirations.
