This week saw the launch of VCCP's latest instalment for Macmillan Cancer Support’s “No one should face cancer alone” campaign, which positions Macmillan at the frontline of cancer support.
The campaign centres around the experiences of a man living with cancer, tracking his journey from diagnosis to treatment and beyond. Central to the campaign is the extent of support that Macmillan offers at every stage – from giving information when cancer is first diagnosed, to providing physiotherapy after treatment to help people get their lives back. It also highlights the inevitable impact of cancer on a person’s loved ones, including their family and friends.
Macmillan runs a range of services to support people affected by cancer including a support line and local information centres, as well as funding a range of health professionals such as their Macmillan Nurses. These services are available only thanks to the generous donations of fundraising efforts of the public.
