'Only Birds Can Tell' is an ode to the recently passed, watching from above. The video is set between familiar worlds and the interactions within them, that slowly decay under our care. Nalan’s song explores the mind as a site of conflicting emotions after experiencing loss. In a practice of childlike, unfiltered togetherness it asks the viewer to look inside, while understanding our place in the greater context of the world.
