Nadya Powell is joining the creative agency, Sunshine, in the newly created role of Managing Director. She is currently in the same position at Lost Boys, the creative boutique, part of the DigitasLBi group and is expected to start at Sunshine in August.
Sunshine has grown significantly since it was conceived of two and a half years ago. Its strength is in giving brands a place and purpose in popular culture across a breadth of media: from traditional and digital, to content and experiential marketing. It has grown to 50 full-time staff and attracted great talent and clients including: Baileys, Diageo, Google, Nike Foundation and Skype. Nadya will report to the three owner partners – Kit Hawkins, Al MacCuish and Gideon Simeloff.
Nadya is a respected industry leader and has already demonstrated her leadership capabilities at Lost Boys, holding a Board position within DigitasLBi, and previously as Client Partner and Chief Innovation Officer, a Board position, at Dare. Nadya also co-founded Innovation Social, an affiliation of innovation and strategy directors seeking to drive the innovation agenda forward; and Millennial Mentoring which seeks to drive diversity and foster young talent in advertising.
Nadya is well recognised for her many achievements. For the past two years she has been in the BIMA Hot 100 which celebrates the biggest names in digital; was in the top 10 Most Influential people in social media marketing in the UK as part of The Drum’s Social Buzz countdown; and was named as one of The Hospital Club H100.
