Due to the volume of extension requests, The Music+Sound Awards’ deadline has been pushed back by three weeks to Midnight, Friday 19th December.
Launched in 2011 to recognise and celebrate the role of music and sound in Advertising, Film, Television and Gaming, the Music+Sound Awards is back for a fourth year, this time hosting their ceremony at the fabulous Café De Paris, in the West End, on Wednesday 4th March 2015.
Nick Payne, Co-founder of the Music+Sound Awards, comments, “We’re thrilled that the response to this year’s Awards has been so overwhelming. We want to ensure that everyone interested in entering the awards this year has sufficient time to submit and we hope that extending the deadline will help with this”. He goes on to say, “The Awards continue to provide a stamp of approval from leading industry professionals across the disciplines they reward and offer the incredible wealth of talent out there their moment in the limelight.”
Any advertising, film, TV or gaming project you've been involved with over the past year that you feel has been significantly enhanced by its music or sound design is an ideal candidate for submission. The thirty-one categories successfully acknowledge all areas of the industry and fall into three areas: Best Original Composition, Best Sound Design and Best Use of Existing Music / Sync.
Other co-founder, Dan Neale, says: “Our ceremonies provide those that supply and those that buy music and sound design a place and occasion to mingle and celebrate together. The delegate list at last year’s event was like a who’s who of London’s production, advertising and music industries. It was great to see so many people meeting, talking, celebrating and genuinely feeling proud of what they do for a living through the Music+Sound Awards.”
Entry details and competition rules can be found on the awards’ site, www.masawards.com. £5 from every entry will be donated to the Awards’ charity partner, Nordoff Robbins, to help support the incredible work they do.
The music and sound design industries have once again come together and given their support to enable The Music+Sound Awards 2015 to take place with sponsors including 750MPH, Cord Worldwide, Jungle Studios, Leland Music, Native Music Supervision, SIREN, The Sync Agency, Universal Production Music, Wave Music, Wave Studios and Yellow Boat Music.
