Music+Sound Awards Entry Deadline

With just over a week to go before the entry window closes for the International Music+Sound Awards 2013 Film, TV, Advertising and Gaming professionals worldwide are invited to submit their work by midnight (GMT) on the 19th April 2013.

 

The response so far to these inaugural International Awards has been staggering and follows on from two highly auspicious UK competitions. February’s London ceremony saw, among many others, awards presented to ‘Ill Manors’ for Best Original Composition in Film, ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ for Best Sync in Film and British Heart Foundation’s ‘Hard and Fast’ for Best Sync in Advertising.

 

The International Music+Sound Awards not only provide a stamp of approval from leading industry professionals across the disciplines it rewards, but also affords those that supply or buy music and sound design a place and occasion to mingle and celebrate together at a party on the beach in Cannes, 21st June, during the Festival of Creativity / Cannes Lions.

 

Submissions will be judged by a panel of industry heavyweights.  Brian Monaco, Head of Sync for EMI in New York, says, "I was very honoured to be invited to become a member of the Music+Sound Awards International jury. An event like this is exactly what our industry needs, one that rewards and celebrates the brilliant work of the music and sound design community on a global scale.” Other jury members include Klaus Badelt (composer, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’), Mary Ramos (Music Supervisor, ‘Kill Bill Vol.2’), Jessica Dieraurer (Executive Producer of Music and Creative Content @ Y&R, New York), Tim Mellors (Chief Creative Head @ Grey Group Worldwide) and Dave Pettigrew (SVP, Head of Advertising and Games @ Warner Chappell, New York) among many others.
