Leading global advertising production consultancy Murphy Cobb Associates (MCA) today announced the appointment of former Müller and RadioCentre CEO Andrew Harrison as its group managing director.
Harrison will lead MCA’s global operations as the company enters its next phase of growth and innovation, having doubled its revenue in 2022 as it helped its portfolio of the world’s leading advertisers orchestrate over $2bn USD worth of marketing production spend.
The appointment underpins MCA’s post-pandemic growth as clients seek to transform their marketing operations with outstanding creativity balanced by commercial efficiencies, while looking to utilise modern production tools emerging from AI and VR technologies.
Harrison, a former UK Marketer of the Year (Marketing Society 2003), brings with him a holistic perspective across the advertising and marketing industry with a career that has spanned UK and Asia over three decades. Prior to joining MCA, Harrison ran his own marketing consultancy practice across Asia whose clients included leading multinational brands such as Colgate, Dairy Farm and Hongkong Shanghai Hotels as well as agency groups like WPP and Omnicom. Before then, Harrison was in high profile CEO roles for 10 years in the U.K. at Müller and RadioCentre which came after building a successful career in marketing director roles at P&G, Coca-Cola and Nestlé.
Harrison says: “It’s been a great privilege to navigate the acceleration in technology throughout my career as advertising production has moved from analogue to digital and now we are entering the next phase of AI and virtual reality. I’ve always been a passionate advocate for great creative work and for clients to deliver commercial results. I’ve now seen MCA’s global best practice close up and we are maximising value for clients over many case histories utilising modern tools so it’s thrilling to join the board to lead the transformation within our industry. I can’t wait to help build the MCA success story further and faster with our world leading global clients.”
CEO and founder Pat Murphy states: “With global clients like Mondelez, Ikea, Reckitt, Mars and many others, our business is accelerating while new technology is transforming our service offering. Andrew’s deep client-side commercial experience makes him the perfect fit for this new role and will allow me the time to nurture our long-standing client relationships, develop new ones and accelerate our leading edge innovation.”
Harrison will join the group’s main board and report to Pat Murphy, the company’s founder and Group CEO. In his new role, Harrison will focus on MCA’s day to day operations with Murphy focusing on innovation and new business opportunities.
