MullenLowe Group UK confirms that it has hired Ewan Paterson as its first group chief creative officer. He will work alongside Group CEO Jeremy Hine and the recently appointed Group CSO Ayesha Walawalkar to drive the creative product and commercial success across advertising, media creativity and CX.
Ewan joins the IPA Effectiveness Network of the Year 2020 from his role as founding partner and executive creative director of BBH Sport in London, returning to BBH after leading the creative turnaround at DDB Chicago. Prior to Chicago, Ewan enjoyed award-winning spells as the creative lead at CHI and DDB London.
Jose Miguel Sokoloff, the acting CCO of MullenLowe in London, reverts to his previous role as Global CCO.
“MullenLowe has enjoyed a strong 2020 against the odds, and we’re determined to raise the creative bar even higher, right across the Group. With his long record of creative turnaround and obvious appetite for ideas beyond advertising, Ewan is the ideal partner on that journey”.
“We’re delighted that a fellow creative entrepreneur is joining the gang in London”, commented Jose.
Ewan Paterson said: “Creative, media and CX in one team with a great client list was the attraction. All the people I met made it a no-brainer.”
