MPC Announces 'Cannesappé'

With Cannes fast approaching the team at MPC Creative, the company's bespoke production arm, has turned its attention to developing an unofficial app housing everything needed for the fun of this year’s advertising festival. 

 

As regular attendees of the festival, the MPC team have concepted and designed the app with the attendees and their needs at it’s heart. Cherry picking the most useful info and features for one of the ad industry's most intense festivals, and combining this with intuitive design. 

 

One particular 'Cannesappé' highlight is the opportunity to obtain 'golden tickets' - simply by opening the app, anyone can trigger ‘push’ invitations for themselves and a friend to one of Cannes’ most exclusive parties including the shots beach party, The Location Guide Cannes Soirée, Sizzer Shindig and The Sweet Shop Shallow Cannes. 

 

Within the app, a range of features have been carefully chosen to work both on and offline. Access to essential information such as: detailed street maps, taxi and useful numbers, a detailed event and party calendar and the locations of free Wifi spots, are all accessible offline without sucking important data and battery life.  

 

Thought has then been given to additional online features including up-to-date crowd cluster maps. And whether you are partaking in Cannes this year or not, you can see what everyone else is up to through the social feed, featuring the latest Cannes tweets, pics and video uploads all in one place.  

 

Andre Assalino, Interactive Creative Director at MPC Creative said “The challenge was to create an app we'd genuinely use ourselves. This time, we were our own target audience and there’s no tougher client than yourself.  Since the festival is right around the corner, we designed and built Cannesappé in two weeks, and it includes all the essential tools to get you through it.”
