Movistar, one of the largest telecommunications companies in Spain, has appointed Wunderman Thompson Spain as its strategic and creative agency, and Accenture Interactive as its digital marketing agency. The appointment follows a competitive pitch with some of the biggest players in the Spanish industry, where Movistar was looking to revamp its agency ecosystem in order to tackle their ambitious challenges in the years to come.
Wunderman Thompson Spain will help Movistar develop its new marketing and communications strategy which complements its market-leading products and services in connectivity and entertainment, in addition to a diversified strategy which will incorporate new services designed to improve and enrich customers’ lives.

The relationship between Movistar and Wunderman Thompson Spain will officially begin on 1st February, and the agency will release a series of announcements relating to this new era over the coming weeks.
