Other London was launched last year, shortly after it landed in a spot of bother as another business bore a similar name, Other Creative. Other Creative lodged a High Court claim over the ‘Other’ name, although they had never registered the trademark.
To make life easier for all, Other London is now relaunching as theOr which will be led by the same team of four founders as its previous incarnation: creative leader Kyle Harman-Turner; business leader Paulo Salomao; strategy leader Sarah Oberman; and production leader Metz Bryan-Fasano.
Life is precious, so rather than waste time wrestling with legal wranglings over a name, theOr decided it would much rather focus its energy on doing what it does best - making great work for its clients.
theOr has already amassed a strong and differentiated body of work in its first year - from developing a traffic jam from roadside berries for Waze, to making red rose Valentine’s Day cliches a thing of the past with Bloom & Wild.
Paulo Salomao, business leader at theOr explained: “We’re an integral part of the Mother Family, theOr will continue to do what we’ve done over the last year: help our clients connect with their audiences by questioning and challenging all the information we have in front of us.”
