Mother New York has announced Design Director Mark Aver has been promoted to Creative Director.
Mark joined Mother in 2008 and has led branding projects for Microsoft, Dell, New Balance, kate spade new york, Revel Resorts and CB2. In 2012, Mark also helped launch Motherʼs own spirits brand, White Pike Whiskey. Markʼs work has been recognized by The One Show, D&AD, ADC, AIGA, ID Magazine, Print magazine and the Type Directors Club. He has also led lectures at Parsons School of Design about design, branding and photography.
Mark graduated with distinction from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He began his career in Boston at the design/research firm Catapult Thinking, eventually moving to New York to work at Number Seventeen and Ogilvyʼs Brand Integration Group (BIG). At BIG, Mark contributed to identity, packaging and environmental design programs for Ford, Kodak, Famous Footwear, BP and Coca-Cola.
As a creative director at Mother, Mark will continue his leadership role on both CB2 and Microsoft accounts and lead growth opportunities for the Michael Ian Kaye-led design group, ʻMother Design.ʼ
