Mother helps Monkey launch the Woolly Actors Guild

To give woolly actors the voice they deserve

Mother helps Monkey launch the Woolly Actors Guild

To give woolly actors the voice they deserve, Monkey has launched the WAG (Woolly Actors Guild) campaign to gain equal rights for woolly actors. He is searching for the great British public’s support in his tireless campaign against ‘woolism’ - a term he has coined to describe prejudices against woolly actors like himself. A serious, talented actor, Monkey believes ‘woolist’ casting directors worldwide are to blame for relegating woolly actors to children’s television and commercials.

With the help of Mother, Monkey has just released four films salvaged ‘from the cutting room floor’ that prove woolism exists. The films show woolly actors that have been ousted from some of Hollywood’s most famous movies to make way for human actors. Zippy, Bungle, George and Bagpuss feature in these hilarious videos (which reveal that these actors were cut from Scarface, Jaws, Notting Hill and Jurassic Park).

Celebrities including Ralf Little, Fern Britton and Stephen K Amos have already backed this campaign, showing their support for Monkey in a special video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc-ES53d0c0&feature=youtu.be

Members of the public are encouraged to make a stand for the rights of woolly actors by signing Monkey’s petition on www.woollyactorsguild.com where you can also buy some splendid Monkey merchandise too.
