Mondo Robot Names Rocco Sangellino as Director of Engineering

Mondo Robot, a digital product agency that transforms business through design and technology and a proud co-conspirator within the Conspiracy Theory network, has promoted lead engineer Rocco Sangellino to director of engineering.

Rocco will lead the engineering team through all phases of discovery, planning, and execution and oversee all engineering efforts while supporting the lead and principal engineers on their multiple large projects. He will operate with full autonomy of the engineering team, managing resources, ensuring projects are on track, and forecasting team and agency needs. Among Rocco’s client focus will be Vail Resorts, the American College of Rheumatology, Shrapnel, and Ingenovis Health.

Sangellino is an experienced technologist who has led large cross-functional teams through the software development lifecycle. Before joining Mondo Robot in May 2021, he worked in the fin-tech industry, where he managed and led a large cross-functional team of back-end, front-end, and quality-assurance engineers. After eight years, he moved into the networking space, where he led the front-end team building next-generation Layer 3+ networking cloud connectivity user interfaces.

Outside of work, the married father of three mentors developers within the global tech community, coaches Little League Baseball and is a board member of the Captain Jason Dahl Scholarship Fund.
