Mobext Singapore Names Kat Van Zutphen as General Manager

Mobext, the mobile marketing arm of Havas Media Group, has appointed Kat van Zutphen as General Manager for Singapore.

Kat will be responsible for managing the Mobext Singapore operations with a special focus on developing the mobile product across paid, owned and earned media. She will work closely with the offline and specialist digital teams at Havas Media Group Singapore to develop business opportunities from existing and new clients.

Kat with her deep experience in telecom industry and an impressive understanding of mobile space is well placed to take Mobext forward”.

With more than 20 years of experience in the mobile industry, Kat is passionate about human centred design, and the user’s experience (UX) in the mobile space. She has spent the past several years working with international businesses and clients to devise innovative digital channels for making financial services accessible to people not served by conventional banks.

An engineer by training, Kat successfully ran a team that planned and built a mobile operator in Brazil. She has also worked with Grameen Foundation’s Technology Centre to develop and implement need-based technology across Asia and Africa to empower the bottom of the pyramid, while partnering with micro-finance institutions, international development organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). 

Kat holds undergraduate degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering and has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business in USA.
