Mirum Hong Kong has been crowned both Innovative Agency of the Year and Mobile Marketing Agency of the Year at Marketing Magazine’s annual Agency of the Year Awards.
The prestigious event is a who’s who of the Hong Kong marketing world, and a record 640 attendees were on hand as the city’s top agencies and companies battled it out across a variety of categories. Awards were determined by a panel of senior client marketers, who analyzed and evaluated agencies against four key areas: performance, work, personnel and vision.
Judges were impressed by Mirum’s clever ‘Magic Mirror’ for jeweller Chow Sang Sang, which utilised touch screen technology to enable customers to browse through a catalogue of necklaces before ‘virtually’ trying them on, with the ability to take photos and videos to share on social media.
Another judges favourite was Mirum’s Christmas campaign for Starbucks, where mobile app users were able to send personalized holographic seasonal greetings to family and friends. The campaign led to a 300 per cent increase in downloads and encouraged 53,000 app users to redeem for a drink.
On top of taking golds for Innovative Agency of the Year and Mobile Marketing Agency of the Year, Mirum Hong Kong also collected bronze awards for Best Client Management Team, Best Creative Team and Best New Business Team.
Win Mak, CEO of Mirum Hong Kong, was delighted to be taking home so many trophies.
“We’ve had a fantastic night. Mirum is constantly pushing the creative and technological boundaries for fantastic ideas and products for our clients. To be honoured as Hong Kong’s most Innovative Agency and the best Mobile Marketing Agency is a great testament to what we’ve done and where we’re heading,” he said.
