KODE is excited to announce the addition of Miranda May to their hotly-tipped roster of new and established directors. Continuing their ethos of nurturing undiscovered talent, Miranda hails from a freelance background. A university drop-out, whose instincts told her the best way to learn her craft was ‘on the job’, Miranda has forged a career from the ground up. “It’s been wild – and I ain’t stoppin’!” Miranda reminisced.
Working most notably with brands such as Nike, Coca-Cola, H&M and Footlocker, as well as music artists like Pa Salieu, Rolling Stones and Ellie Goulding, Miranda’s dark and colour-drenched aesthetic elevates the everyday into a striking visual language.
A filmmaker driven by voicing the untold stories of sub-cultures in global communities, Miranda’s passion for craft is evident in every detail. In her hands, each narrative becomes a voyage into uncharted creative territory, articulated through her instantly recognisable lens.
Upon signing with KODE, Miranda said, “Now I want to enter my era of making the seriously good shit. That’s why I’m excited to get busy with KODE because I think together, we can really do that.”
Jack Goodwin, executive producer from KODE, added, “Miranda has done an exceptional job of building a reel in a short space of time, which brings together colour and design in a sophisticated way. She has a vision, and passion for the work she makes, and I love that she’s joining Kode with an infectious fire in her to make good work with good people.”
