MiQ Tops IPA Digital Media Owner Spring Survey

Agencies have named MiQ as the best media owner to work with for the second IPA Digital Media Owner Survey in a row.

The survey highlights which media owners deliver the highest levels of service and which have shown a commitment to continually improving their digital standards.

Nearly 90% of respondents (87.2%) agreed that the overall experience of working with MiQ was a good one. They were closely followed by Captify (86.7%) and newcomer Acast (84.5%).

While MiQ leads overall and among Ad Networks/Exchanges, DSP and Sales Houses, Acast tops Online Pure Plays and Mail Metro Media (83.5%) leads Crossover Media Owners.

Other key findings:

  • In addition to being the best overall media owner to work with, MiQ leads in seven other categories (Understanding of client strategies and objectives; Understanding of own products; Provision of innovative and creative solutions; Pro-active communication of new opportunities; Regularity of contact with the sales team; Quality of the agency /media owner partnership and Communication of direct client contact).

  • Captify leads in Quality of response to brief and Ease of sales force contact, while Quantcast tops Professionalism of dispute resolution and Global is the best crossover media owner in respect of exploitation of cross-media opportunities.

  • Facebook, Sky and Verizon were the most improved media owners since the Spring 2020 survey, all improving across every single category.

The IPA Digital Media Owner Survey is released twice a year, in spring and autumn. For each survey a panel of planners, strategists, buyers and digital specialists rate only those media owners they have a working relationship with against a set of attributes on a seven-point scale from strongly agree to strongly disagree.
