The distributed design firm, Green Stone, has teamed up with minuteKEY, producers of self-service kiosks that utilise proprietary robotics technology to produce keys in a minute’s time. Their partnership will focus on evolving and innovating both the broader customer journey as well as the user experience at the kiosk itself.

The new partnership comes on the heels of minuteKEY’s recent $83 Million round of funding, led by Comvest Partners. The innovative key replication platform has 3,600 full-automated kiosks nationwide that are discoverable online and offer 156 key styles ranging from standard and ultralite to sports and design inspired.
Intuitive touch screen displays guide customers through the process, notify them of any specials or promotions, and provide both viewports as well as real-time updates on the progress of key duplicating, while patent-pending proprietary laser imaging determines the type of key and its specific tooth profile. The unique digital image is translated into a highly accurate profile, and the entire process only takes one minute while creating virtually no waste. In addition, minuteKEY has also partnered with the National Forest Foundation in an attempt to defend North American forests. For every 2 National Forest keys purchased, minuteKEY will plant a new tree.
