Milwaukee-Based Hanson Dodge Named One of the Best Places to Work in Advertising

Hanson Dodge, a Milwaukee-based independent advertising agency, has been named one of the best places to work in advertising by Advertising Age. The recognition was made as part of the publication’s annual Best Places to Work listing, which was compiled in partnership with Latitude Research, a market research firm.

This year’s rankings are particularly remarkable as they are based on employee satisfaction surveys conducted during the Covid-19 pandemic. As the editors noted: "'Ad Age Best Places to Work’ honours a group of companies that figured out how to get the job done in a year when the only place to work may have been the dining room table. Winning companies navigated through a year that included a global pandemic and a deep recession along with calls to address social injustice and take a stand against racism. They went above and beyond in supporting their employees and communities."

Ad Age’s Best Places to Work rankings were based on scores across six key satisfaction areas as determined by survey responses from both employers and employees. These satisfaction areas include company culture, company environment, employee benefits, employee development, employee engagement and employee perks. Results were broken down into two groups: those with employees over 200 and those with 200 or less.

Hanson Dodge was ranked #17 among those with less than 200 employees.

“The global pandemic absolutely changed the way we conducted our business, from devising new ways to service our clients to managing unimaginable stress and uncertainty,” said Stacie Boney, president, Hanson Dodge. "Being named one of Ad Age's Best Places to Work really speaks to the united purpose of this team. It is a reflection of our group of talented, tenacious people, creating an environment that brings out the best in each other, and staying focused on driving the business needs of the good people we are proud to call our clients."

Being recognised by Ad Age as a Best Place to Work follows on the heels of Hanson Dodge also receiving an Honourable Mention from Outside magazine as one of its 50 Best Places to Work in 2020.
