MetroEXP Launches Wendy’s Mates Rates Deals with One New Zealand Warriors

As New Zealand continues to battle the cost of living, Wendy's NZ is highlighting its new ‘Mates Rates’ deals, which offer a range of delicious meal deals at an affordable price. Developed by creative agency MetroEXP, the ‘Everyone’s Your Mate’ campaign leverages their sponsorship of the One New Zealand Warriors, featuring fan-favourites Wayde Egan, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Marata Niukore.

With the boys appearing suddenly at the very sight of Wendy’s, the campaign cheekily emphasises that even your heroes become your mates when there’s Wendy’s involved. 

Penny Wolhuter, managing partner of MetroEXP, said “With the rising cost of living, many consumers are seeking convenient and affordable meal options. This campaign delivers that message with a few of the One New Zealand Warriors players in a fun and engaging way.”

An integrated marketing effort, including social media, digital advertising, in-store POS and video content, will support the ‘Mates Rates’ campaign.

The Wendy’s ‘Mates Rates’ deals are pretty special, with delicious freshly made burgers and a meal starting from just $7. The campaign is now live and runs through to May 31st 2023.
