Merkley+Partners recharges the classic Christmas tales for the Holidays

Mercedes-Benz's Christmas Ads Put a Fresh Spin on Ebeneezer Scrooge and Mrs. Claus

This holiday season, Merkley+Partners and Mercedes-Benz USA have created an all-new holiday campaign to introduce the first-ever, all-electric EQS and to promote the brand’s iconic Mercedes-Benz Winter Event.

To celebrate the launch of their 2022 EQS model, Merkley+Partners have rebooted the tale of Ebeneezer Scrooge from the Charles Dickens classic ‘A Christmas Carol’.

In the commercial, we see Scrooge taken on a journey through the history of mobility. First to the past, where there is a bevy of horse-drawn carts and garbage-lined streets, into a grid-locked present and ultimately into the future, where a Mercedes-Benz EQS awaits him.

With US consumers embracing electric transportation on a larger scale, the retelling of this traditional story aims to strengthen Mercedes-Benz’s position as the world’s number one luxury vehicle.

To promote the brand’s iconic Mercedes-Benz Winter Event, Merkley+Partners also tell the story of a forgotten puppy, rescued by Mrs. Claus. While Santa is out delivering presents in his fleet of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, Mrs. Claus notices that he left one very important gift behind. Hopping into her Mercedes G-Class, she rushes out into the wintry world, catching up with her husband in an epic dash to save the day.

Directed by Noam Murro with Biscuit Filmworks, the campaign demonstrates Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to redefining and leading the luxury mobility market today and in the future.
