In the second half of 2011, Perfetti Van Melle’s Mentos® launched a new product called Mentos® UP2U that puts choice directly in the hands of consumers. A product with a simple premise; two flavours, in one pack, the choice is up to you.
They enlisted BBH to handle the creative and Rattling Stick to produce.
In ‘Turncoat’ we see a half human, half alien making the choice of which side he wishes to be on in a war of humans v aliens. The voiceover reveals: “New Mentos UP2U, One Pack, Two Flavours, You can’t loose”.
The campaign launched in Switzerland at the start of May and is currently being launched in Greece, France and Germany.
