Mentor Black Business Partners with Google Digital Garage to Provide 1,000 New Mentors to Black Entrepreneurs

From 1st May 2021, Black businesses from the Mentor Black Business community can receive free, tailored 1-to-1 mentoring from Google and other organisations via Digital Boost. 

Google is offering 10,000 hours of free 1-to-1 mentoring to businesses to ensure they can get expert guidance tailored to their specific needs. UK-based small businesses and charities will be paired with mentors who specialise in the specific areas where help is needed. The mentors will cover multiple topics from digital marketing implementation to business strategy.  

Mentor Black Business is committed to delivering world-class mentorship to Black businesses and entrepreneurs – whatever their skill set. “We exist for Black business to thrive” [Akil Benjamin, founder]. “Through our platform we give them the power to connect with industry professionals, leaders and change-makers. We do this to provide Black business the foundation to unlock their own value and realise their own potential.” 

In fewer than six months, Mentor Black Business has built a community of 2,000 change makers with a reach that extends far beyond this, through partnerships with global brands including: Google, Virgin StartUp, Budweiser Brewing Group and Somerset House.  

From learning how to increase visibility on Google, to developing an understanding of the world of online business; this new partnership will allow Black businesses a more accessible path to success.
