Mellow Mushroom Selects Dunn&Co. as Creative Agency

Following an agency review, the Tampa-based agency is the renowned pizza chain’s newest creative partner

Dunn&Co., named a Small Agency of the Year by Ad Age in 2022 and a leading independent branding, advertising, and production agency, today announced that Atlanta-based Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers has joined its client roster. The pizza brand began its agency review in April with more than ten agencies. Dunn&Co. will provide creative execution, brand strategy, digital design, and media planning.

Mellow Mushroom is the originator of hand-tossed, stone-baked pizza, and has more than 160 locations in 19 states. Each Mellow Mushroom location maintains the fun, energetic and unique atmosphere that distinguishes Mellow Mushroom from the typical pizza restaurant.

The cornerstone of its menu is the stone-baked pizza featuring a crust made from all-natural ingredients, including Appalachian spring water. In addition, each restaurant offers munchies, burgers, wings, salads, calzones, hoagies and sandwiches, and craft cocktails, and local beers.

The pizza chain will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2024 and has tasked Dunn&Co. both with building momentum leading up to their anniversary year, as well as creating a breakout campaign that effectively honours the occasion.
