‘Meg Ryan’s Famous Family Recipe’

Evolution Bureau creates 90-second film for Contadina

‘Meg Ryan’s Famous Family Recipe’

“Meg Ryan” stars in marketing agency Evolution Bureau’s new 90-second web film for Del Monte Food’s Contadina line of Italian-inspired ingredients, but the American sweetheart is just a nice, normal woman with the same name who makes a celebrated sauce using Contadina.

In the faux show “Famous Kitchens With Meg Ryan,” Contadina’s star-struck rep reports from outside the actress’ alleged cottage that she’s here because the A-list starlet invited her over for dinner to try her “famous” spaghetti sauce. With the zeal of a Superfangirl, she notes that Meg has “got mail” when she spies the box near the door.

A long pause ensues when non-celeb Meg answers the door. I’m here to interview “the real Meg Ryan,” the host insists. She’s then shown screaming at a crew member for not doing his due diligence. The interview resumes in the kitchen, with Meg cooking and fielding oddball questions from the reporter as she tries to salvage her “celebrity” interview about this famous recipe.

“It’s famous all right – my family loves it,” good-natured Meg notes.

The Contadina rep is not convinced – until she tastes the spaghetti sauce. This drives her to – well, watch what happens next. Watch the film at https://www.youtube.com/contadina.

Fans can get Meg’s famous recipe, which contains Contadina’s Crushed Tomatoes and Tomato Sauce, at the brand’s Facebook page.
