Meet the LBB & Friends Beach: Bacon, Vagabond, Rushes & IMD

In one week from today, we’ll be opening the doors of the LBB & Friends Beach 2014. It’s the highlight of our year and has become a hub for everyone in Cannes who is seeking relaxation, good company and a chance to have a paddle. Today we’re introducing four more beach co-hosts – that way when you drop in, you’ll be sure to spot some familiar faces. Anna Sundbom - Bacon


Anna Sundbom, Head of international PR & Marketing


LBB> Where are you from and what do you do? 

AS> I'm Swedish but I live in Copenhagen and I'm Head of International PR & Marketing at Bacon. Bacon is a hybrid production company located in Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm and Berlin. We produce content for screens through close collaboration between film, digital and VFX professionals.

LBB> What are you most looking forward to about Cannes this year?  

AS> To get reunited with some lovely peers from all around the world and the award ceremony as a lot of our directors work has been submitted to the festival by agencies as well as by ourselves. 

LBB> Give us a top tips for surviving Cannes. 

- Keep on smiling
- Shades on
- Dance as much as you can as it creates energy and you get an endorphins-buzz
- Enjoy the sunny weather as it probably rains back home. 
- Drink anti-dehydration drinks before going to bed and when you wake-up as you then are ready to have a glass of rosé at noon..again.

LB> We are from the US, Latin America and Switzerland and we provide production services. Lorenzo Benedick producing in the US and Switzerland, Gabriel Carratu producing in Latin America, Rossina Di Paola producing in Uruguay, Ricca Galdeano producing in Brazil

LBB> What are you most looking forward to about Cannes this year?

LBB> Where are you from and what do you do? 

JC> Based in the heart of Soho London for 37 years, Rushes is an award winning international VFX and colouring house. Creativity, pushing boundaries and developing imaginative concepts is still at the heart of the business known for not only outstanding work but exceptional and personal client services. We are part of the Deluxe group and have creative sister companies across the globe, including Australia, London, Los Angeles, New York, and Vancouver. We work together to produce outstanding work for the feature film, advertising, broadcast and digital media markets.

LBB> What are you most looking forward to about Cannes this year?  

JC> The best event in Cannes, the Rushes Beach party, and seeing so many friends and colleagues and clients (that’s the same group by the way) from overseas, all gathered in one place.  Very exciting!  Best of all, we all get to talk about great work and our industry en masse, together.  It’s a huge privilege to go.

LBB> Give us a top tips for surviving Cannes. 

JC> Pace yourself! Don’t talk too much nonsense enthusiastically, you’ll lose your voice!

LBB> Where are you from and what do you do?

DP> Hello! I’m Devon (yes, like the place), and I’m from IMD - the world’s widest reaching ad distribution company, builders of Caria® and one of the sponsors of the LBB Beach this year! 

By day, I’m Client Development Manager - part of a wider team winning new business and ensuring that our reputation of giving our clients the best customer service is upheld… but by night I turn into a cocktail connoisseur and dance-move maniac.

LBB> What are you most looking forward to about Cannes this year?

DP> I missed Cannes last year as I was away travelling around South America and visiting our Latin American offices, so I’m most looking forward to actually being there this year with the rest of the spectacular IMD team! 

LBB> Give us a top tip for surviving Cannes.

DP> This question scares me… I didn’t realise I needed a survival plan! All I know is that from about 10am, the team IMD will be at the LBB Beach where it’ll always be relaxed, there’ll always be good company and complimentary booze*! Night-time = parties and dirty drinking at the Gutter bar. Daytime = recuperation at the LBB Beach. Top tip… if you need a lighter, come and find us!
