Today, Droga5 New York announces two new hires in the agency’s growing creative department. Tom McQueen and George McQueen join Droga5 from Clemenger BBDO Melbourne as senior copywriter and senior art director, respectively.
As identical twins, Tom and George’s creative partnership started a lot earlier than most. Their work has been recognised at all the major creative and effectiveness award shows in categories spanning digital innovation, social media, integrated, outdoor, mobile and more. Most recently, their campaign 'Meet Graham' for the Transport Accident Commission in Australia won two Grands Prix in Cyber & Health and a number of gold Lions at this year’s Cannes Lions Festival.
In 2016, they were each named Young Achiever of the Year at the B&T Awards. With a shared passion for digital solutions, creative problem solving and thinking with their hands, Tom and George have always subscribed to the principles of art, copy and code to create innovative and effective work.
"Droga5 is an agency I’ve always revered. They have an incredible reputation and an equally incredible body of work that always seems to get to the core of culture,” said Tom McQueen. “I'm excited to join the impressive team and for the opportunities that lie ahead."
“I’m really excited to be joining the Droga5 legacy. I’ve always admired their work from afar, so it’s humbling to now have the opportunity to work alongside the creative minds behind it,” said George McQueen. “I’m looking forward to jumping in the trenches with the team and getting my hands dirty.”
