With nearly 150 annual awards racked up in the last twelve months, MediaMonks is the most-successful digital production company of 2014. Amongst the company’s greatest feats are 66 gold/first prizes, five grand prix, and the honour of being named ‘Best Digital Company US & Europe’ at Ciclope.
In addition to its annual awards, which include 23 Lions at Cannes, MediaMonks spawned a record number of FWAs and other recurring honours. MediaMonks produced 38 FWAs in 2014 and now is the No. 3 company in the award scheme’s all-time ranking. But what is even more telling than the number of awards are the number of different efforts that MediaMonks helped raise to recognition. With 66 projects being commended with an honour big or small, 2014 has been the most-prolific year in the company’s history.
MediaMonks cofounder Wesley ter Haar expressed that the success is by no means an individual achievement. “We’ve been incredibly fortunate to do work for so many great agencies this year,” Ter Haar credits. “Ultimately, it’s the creative work that wins.”
