S4Capital’s content practice strengthens its teams across creative, business and production in London with award-winning and emerging female leaders alike

On the back of the rapid expansion of S4Capital’s content practice, MediaMonks is strengthening its leadership team in London. The appointment of the senior hires underlines MediaMonks’ commitment to maintaining gender balance, particularly in leadership roles.

Alena Rossini, previously MD at Engine for South East Asia, is joining MediaMonks in London as its head of clients and partnerships, strengthening relationships with key clients including BMW and MINI, Mondelez and others. The coveted professional, recognised by the likes of the AME Awards, the IAB, as well as IIeX and ESOMAR, brings in her extensive experience in building an integrated offering, having worked with clients like VISA, the BBC and Coca-Cola, supporting them in their business transformations. With her background in combining data and insights with creativity, Alena will play a central role in the unification of the S4Capital offering to its clients.

About her appointment, Alena Rossini, adds: “I look forward to contributing to MediaMonks’ mission to drive digital transformation through actions, rather than just consulting. With this strong and growing team at the company, we are very well equipped to help clients find their place in this fluctuating world, from building an integrated offering to supporting them in developing a whole new operation model.”

Alena is joined by Naana Orleans-Amissah. With 18 years of experience in strategy and consultancy with agencies such as TBA plc, Fold7, glue and client side at Crabtree & Evelyn, and having been named a future leader by the Future Leaders Foundation Bursary early on in her career, she will join the MediaMonks team in London as its strategy director. In her work she has been the author of the winning entry into the Marketing Week Awards for her work on O2 in the Telecoms and Technology sector. At the company she will work with clients such as P&G, in supporting them in this accelerating digital-first world.

On the agency’s creative side, Malin Hanås has joined MediaMonks. Malin was previously at Publicis•Poke and Razorfish. She is one of Campaign’s and the IPA’s 10 Future Female Leaders of Advertising and has been featured in Faces to Watch. She’s been shortlisted for The Drum’s Woman of the Year and the Women of the Future Awards.

On the business side, Jacquelyn McInally joins the team as programmes director. Jacquelyn has joined the agency from the client side, having worked at Travelex as head of programme management, as well as The Walt Disney Company, Telegraph Media Group and Canon. Alena and Jacquelyn strengthen the female leadership next to Julia Fontaine, who joined MediaMonks early 2020 and has previously been deputy managing director at Edelman and strategic growth director at MediaSense, and is MediaMonks’ senior vice president of growth.

Since Martin Verdult’s appointment as MediaMonks’ London MD in July 2018 the company has grown from 15 to 85 people, most notably adding the expertise of the global Fashion and Luxury team, which is already accelerating the business.

He adds: “We’ve seen an incredible surge in business in 2020. We’ve found that we’ve been able to help our clients in the United Kingdom and across the globe with their challenges. I’m very proud of our growth and the team of experts. Going forward, diversity, equality and inclusion, the zero impact workspace and sustainable production will be key focus topics for us. This is a great start of our ambitions for 2021: to not only win the decade regarding the work that we do, but to also increase equality in the space we work in.”
