MEC Appoints Duncan Smith as Managing Partner

MEC, a leading media agency, today announced the appointment of Duncan Smith as a Managing Partner.

Duncan will oversee client leadership and communications planning for Lloyds Banking Groupand will report into Stuart Bowden, Joint CEO at MEC. 

Speaking on the appointment, Stuart Bowden, Joint CEO at MEC said: “Duncan brings with him a wealth of experience in communications, working with award-winning brands and delivering strategic solutions to help them thrive. Formerly Global Business Director at Starcom MediaVest group, Duncan brings with him years of experience in leading communications planning. In this role he oversaw planning for HEINEKEN across its global brands and led the development and roll out of the brewer’s global communications planning approach. Prior to this role Duncan was Head of Ideas and Planning atMediaCom USA and has also held senior positions at CHI & Partners and MindShare. Duncan has worked across a range of clients including Shell, Canon, P&G, GSK and Tiger Beer.
