Felicity Kendal features in TV spot & online branded content

MEC Access, the leading partnership and content agency, (www.mecglobal.co.uk), has produced Healthspan’s first national TV ad and a wealth of additional content to help the leading vitamin and supplements provider take an even stronger position in the health and wellness category.

The 30” TV ad will run on a number of channels, including ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, between 1 July and 25 August.  The multi-million pound campaign features Felicity Kendal participating in a yoga class, and marks Healthspan’s first foray into TV advertising using a celebrity.

Alongside the TV spots, MEC Access has also created bespoke branded online video content, including interviews with Felicity Kendal talking about her health and wellbeing as well as online yoga videos with instructor Tim Nielsen.

MEC Access pitched the concept into three production companies and picked Signal TV as its partner.  The agency in conjunction with Healthspan wrote the interviews for Felicity and the agency had executive producer responsibilities throughout the process.

Robert Dicks, Director of Central Marketing, Healthspan group, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be launching our first TV ad  with Felicity Kendal and MEC Access has been the perfect partner.  The agency has created some excellent content for the website that we really feel will strike a chord with our customers.”

Chantal Rickards, Head of Branded Content, MEC Access commented: “We were delighted to be able to produce this campaign for Healthspan featuring Felicity Kendal.  She is a perfect ambassador for the brand, having an enviable health regime and zest for life and aligns closely with Healthspan’s vitamins and nutritional supplements business.  The Healthspan team were closely involved in every step of production which MEC executive produced on their behalf with Signal TV.  It’s a well-rounded piece of content marketing with a TVC at its core and terrific additional material online which will serve the audience well.”

Steve Hatch, CEO of MEC, commented, “MEC Access continues to set the pace in innovative and integrated partnerships.  We are proud that we’ve been able to produce further ground breaking work for Healthspan”.
