A lot of young marketers and advertisers know how to build a brand for a company or product, but they may not be au fait about building a top-notch personal brand.
To help, ADMA’s 30Below committee in South Australia is holding a breakfast event called “Me, Myself and I: A Personal Branding Workshop” on Tuesday 2 June 2015 from 7.45 am to 9.am at the Hub Adelaide.
Sarah Poppy and Claire Colebeck, founders of The Personal Brand Project, will host the workshop.
They’ll talk about how young marketers can apply current brand thinking to their online profiles, job applications and daily professional interactions. They’ll also talk about the need to protect one’s personal brand, especially around the social media minefield.
Poppy is a talented multi-skilled marketer who is passionate about personal brand building and mentoring young professionals in the workforce. Over the last 10 years, she has worked in various marketing and communication roles and has developed a wide range of skills across marketing, design, rebranding, social media, communications and events.
Colebeck is a marketer, writer, blogger, mentor and career-advice giving educator who has spent the last three years working with and mentoring young professionals. She is a dedicated, technically skilled marketing and comms professional with a versatile skill set developed through nine years working in the field and participating in ongoing education.
“It’s crucial to dedicate time to working on your personal brand to progress your career, but a lot of young people don’t spend the time they should on investment in their brand. But it can help you excel in your career,” said Kate Klavins, member, ADMA 30Below South Australia Committee.
