Director of 'The Greatest Showman' Michael Gracy helms a sun-baked sequel to the hit 'Raise Your Arches' ad from Leo Burnett UK

From 'The Greatest Showman' to the greatest burger, director Michael Gracey joins forces with Leo Burnett for a ‘Raise Your Arches’ sequel. Fast-food giant McDonald’s has unveiled a summer follow-up to its hit ‘Raise Your Arches’ ad that debuted in January.

In ‘Next stop, McDonald’s’ viewers witness lines of sun-seeking travellers waiting at a red light on a sweltering day - a scene anyone who's been on a Great British summer holiday can relate to. As the familiar tune starts playing, we see one driver turn to his wife and wiggle his eyebrows up and down. His partner then playfully turns to their kids in the back seat of the car and does the same, setting off a chain reaction of. Throughout the spot, the facial gesture is passed from vehicle to vehicle, indicating that a visit to McDonald’s is in store for the holidaymakers.

Like the previous version, there is no visible branding throughout the short, until the very end when the golden arches and the words ‘Fancy a McDonald’s?’ appear on the screen.
