McCann Worldgroup announced the promotion of Dhane Scotti to Global Executive Business Leader on the agency’s worldwide relationship with The Coca-Cola Company. Scotti, who is based in Atlanta, is taking on the top client leadership role at McCann.
“Dhane is an experienced global marketing communications executive who has been a key player in our expanding Coca-Cola relationship in recent years,” said Harris Diamond, Chairman and CEO of McCann Worldgroup. “As an integral member of our Global Business Leadership Community, headed by Nannette LaFond-Dufour [Global Chief Client Officer], Dhane provided our Coke client with additional discipline expertise as well as international leadership.”
Scotti joined McCann Worldgroup a little over two years ago as Executive VP, Global Business Leader. He worked closely with Matt Woehrmann, who led the global Coca-Cola business over the last decade. In 2015, Woehrmann increased his U.S. leadership responsibilities, becoming CEO of Fitzgerald & Co as well as the Fitzco//McCann agency, in Atlanta, which handles the U.S. Coca-Cola business. Dhane’s promotion is the result of his many successes with Coca-Cola. He will now lead this very important account at McCann, taking over the reins from Woehrmann.
McCann Worldgroup has marketing and communication assignments for Coca-Cola in more than 60 countires. They work across a wide variety of brands, including Brand Coke, as well as PowerAde, Fanta, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, among others.
Scotti joined McCann Worldgroup from BBDO, where he worked for eight years in the New York and London offices, serving in global, regional and domestic roles for a range of brands across categories. After receiving his MBA from Florida A&M University, he began his advertising career working for Anomaly and Publicis, both in New York.
