Last night's announcement marks repeat record-breaking industry performance for the network in the region
McCann Worldgroup was ranked the Most Effective Agency Network in Europe in 2020 at the Effie Awards Europe last night. The Effie Europe is an annual competition which rewards the most effective commercial communications campaigns in Europe and is the symbol of proven advertising effectiveness and a tribute to the client and agency partnership.
Mark Lund, CEO UK and Europe, McCann Worldgroup, said: "This is a tremendous achievement. Despite the immense challenges of 2020 our strategic community remained completely focused throughout to deliver effective and meaningful work for our clients – never more important than at this moment in our history. We are absolutely thrilled to have retained our number one position in Europe with another record-breaking performance. This is a huge tribute to both our client partnerships and our strategic community and I am incredibly proud of the unwavering commitment and leadership of our talented teams.”
“Making work that works, placing brands in a position of strength to be creatively compelling whilst delivering real commercial impact, is what clients look to us for." added Harjot Singh, newly promoted global chief strategy officer, McCann. "Effectiveness is a critical measure of the value of this work and these awards are particularly important because they are a celebration of real, measurable impact - something we are consistently committed to. I am so delighted that this consistency has once again been recognised. Our deep client partnerships based on a strong shared culture of trust and collaboration are at the heart of this achievement. We are honoured to share this award with our clients and our teams, particularly against the backdrop of the challenging conditions we have all been working in.”
The network’s 2020 performance is the outcome of multiple awards won by offices in the UK, Ireland and Russia in partnership with clients Aldi, Help for Heroes, Tele2 Russia and Sudocrem.
