Since its inception as an affiliate of McCann Worldgroup in late 2013, McCannBlue has worked to firmly establish a reputation as an integrated creative and digital agency right at the heart of ‘Silicon Docks’ on Dublin’s Grand Canal Quay. Now, it the agency has announced that it is rebranding as McCann Dublin, marking a closer integration into McCann Worldgroup. The creative company has also been attracting major clients, including global brand, advertising and digital accounts in Kerry, IOHK and now, Norwegian Airlines.
Meabh Clohosey, managing director of Norwegian Airlines says of the appointment: “After a rigorous selection process involving a number of agencies, McCann’s strategic approach to our brand, alongside their all-round creativity and digital expertise made them the stand-out choice and we are delighted to work with them as our agency to provide brand advertising services to Norwegian Air.”
Stephen Conway, managing director of McCann Dublin elaborates, and explains how the agency has grown into a progressive creative company: “When we formed McCannBlue, our focus was on building a new type of agency. A creative company focused on brand building through brand meaning, all brought to life with a digital heartbeat. McCann’s philosophy of ‘Truth well Told’ has as much resonance now, perhaps more so, as when it was first created in 1912. That’s why our closer integration into McCann Worldgroup, as evidenced through our rebrand, will allow us to develop and grow our proposition in this market and to help us scale our clients’ business internationally.”
Mark Lund, CEO of McCann Worldgroup UK adds: “We’ve seen the Dublin market thrive thanks to sustained international investment in Ireland, significant global relocation, and establishment of EMEA headquarters across many sectors.
This Norwegian win, hot on the heels of several others, has further compounded the importance of our Ireland operation. McCannBlue has successfully created an agency that is future-forward and global in outlook, yet locally relevant and creatively inspirational. Their name change to McCann Dublin marks them as true citizens of McCann Worldgroup and is a visible sign of our own commitment and investment in their ongoing success.”
