McCann Canada announced today that they have been awarded strategic and creative Agency of Record (AOR) duties for Internet service provider Xplornet Communications Inc.
As Canada’s largest rural-focused broadband provider, Xplornet will work with McCann Canada to elevate the brand. McCann’s work will build on Xplornet’s history and mission to bring fast, reliable, and affordable high-speed Internet to rural Canadians, with an elevated creative and strategic approach that deepens the company’s connection with its customers.
“For more than 15 years, Xplornet has been providing innovative fixed and mobile broadband solutions to rural customers at work, home and play across Canada,” said Arax Copeman, vice president, consumer marketing, Xplornet Communications Inc. “We’ve charted an aggressive growth plan, delivering next-generation fibre-to-the-home and 5G broadband to rural communities across Canada, and we needed a smart, creative agency to partner with us for the next phase of our journey. We were impressed by McCann’s strategic prowess from day one; what we found particularly appealing is the agency’s understanding of the unique needs of rural Canadians across the country. That matters – because that’s the heart of who we are.”
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be working alongside Xplornet during this exciting time in their brand and business journey,” said Ryan Timms, president of McCann Canada. “As an agency, we feel very connected to Xplornet’s purpose. Our agency’s work over the years for clients like Bayer CropScience and Petro-Canada has helped us develop a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of the 16% of Canadians who choose not to live in cities. It’s a different way of life and one that we connect with. If the pandemic has taught us anything, it's that high speed internet is more important than ever for every Canadian no matter where they are – connectivity inequality is unacceptable.”
McCann’s mandate will include brand strategy and campaign development. New work is expected to be introduced later in 2022.view more - Hires, Wins & BusinessMcCann Canada, Fri, 14 Jan 2022 14:27:26 GMT
