Post-pandemic, conversations have never been more important as audiences seek to both reconnect with the world and re-evaluate priorities. Ultimately, it’s essential to understand what they are thinking, feeling, believing, and what really matters to them to truly connect with them and make meaningful impact.

Equally, the need to empower clients with the ability to understand the conversations essential to achieving their business ambitions – at speed – has also never been greater. To meet this need, M&C Saatchi TALK is securing the best suited talent in the room to enable the conversations that are key to clarifying the problems to both agency and clients with agility. Thereby, helping to guide and refine media, social, and overall brand strategy much more effectively in the process.

M&C Saatchi TALK has announced three new creative strategists, bolstering the agency’s creative and strategy talent, and supercharging its ability to navigate, create, and lead conversations wherever they are most meaningful for brands and their audiences.

The agency has now appointed creative strategist in earned media, Michael Lamb, social creative strategist, Shinal Pancholi, and creative strategist, Sophie Newman. The hires follow the news of Head of Growth, Alex Michael joining earlier this spring, and more recently, exciting health wellbeing client appointment, David Lloyd Leisure.

NAVIGATING MEDIA CONVERSATIONS

As Creative Strategist in Earned Media, Michael Lamb joins Head of Strategy & Creative, Will Cooke and Head of Growth, Alex Michael in driving the agency’s proposition, process, and practice forwards, supporting clients with identifying the truths within their audiences and communities, and shaping the brand conversations between them to enable meaningful, long-term impact.

Michael brings over 10 years’ experience specialising in media, having helped to connect brands with their audiences, offering counsel across story planning and media strategy to create stories that are believable for audiences and buyable by media. His vast experience covers both the B2C and B2B spaces, and includes sectors from consumer electronics to chocolate, having looked after clients such as SONY and Unilever.

Michael says, “I’m really excited to be joining an agency whose proposition will offer clients, journalists, and audiences alike clarity on what companies stand for, what can be expected of them, and how they can solve their needs. One of the biggest challenges for brands is identifying culturally relevant campaigns that tap into key moments in time – both in the short- and long-term, and I’m looking forward to supporting M&C Saatchi TALK’s fantastic clients in navigating this.”

CREATING SOCIAL CONVERSATIONS

Shinal Pancholi is the agency’s new Social Creative Strategist, supporting Head of Creative Development, Sophie Bannister in defining social conversations for brands, overseeing paid, influencer, and content strategies. She joins from her previous role as Head of Social & Digital for M&C Saatchi World Services where she was responsible for social growth, supporting clients spanning government, not for profit and charitable organisations.

Shinal has spent 10 years shaping and elevating social at scale for the likes of COP26, Census, NHS, the Global Fund and University of Leicester, bridging the gap between their brands, social platforms, and their audiences. In a channel dominated by ephemeral and forgettable content, she has built a career founded on a passion for understanding audience mindsets, working to change behaviours and build positive perceptions.

Shinal comments: “This is a brilliant opportunity to build on M&C Saatchi TALK’s fantastic heritage. With the evolution of social media and s-commerce taking place, there’s so much opportunity ahead to explore as we approach 2022 and beyond. I’m thrilled to join the team to collectively work together on taking their clients on this journey, seeking the creative prospects within briefs, and encouraging a social-first mentality to ensure not only their social growth, but also build meaningful connections with their audiences online.”

LEADING CONSUMER CONVERSATIONS

Thirdly, Sophie Newman has been appointed as Creative Strategist, having previously supported on the agency’s client growth as Business Development Director. She brings diverse talent to the position having formerly supported with crafting strategic and creative responses for new and existing clients across an incredible number of integrated briefs.

Sophie has been with M&C Saatchi TALK for over four years and has played an instrumental role in supporting the fantastic growth that the agency is now enjoying. She says, “Having supported M&C Saatchi TALK in its successful growth in the last few years, I’m so excited for the next chapter. During this time, I’ve gained a great understanding of the various issues brands are experiencing and can’t wait to help the agency lead the way in elevating consumer conversations creatively, ensuring our great roster of clients meaningfully connect with consumers.”

SPECIALISTS IN THE ART OF CONVERSATION

With this expertise, the agency’s heritage, talent and tools, M&C Saatchi TALK is blending creative simplicity, science and culture to earn brands, governments, and businesses a place in the conversations that matter most, driving value for them and their audiences’ lives.

Head of Strategy & Creative, Will Cooke touches on the significance of the three Creative Strategist hires in this vision in serving ambitious new and retained clients: “By evolving our agency offering, we will be helping not only our own agency growth but our clients’ growth too, and ensuring we’re creating campaigns that truly engage. With the recent reset experienced following the last 18 months, brands need to find new ways to connect with audiences and identifying these means asking the right questions to set ourselves and our clients up for success.”

M&C Saatchi TALK COO, Ryan Woor highlights that the news adds to the agency success enjoyed throughout the year: “As announced six months ago, in the wake of our significant agency and client growth, we’ve been working to invest in the strategic, creative talent that now joins us to reinforce our success in crafting compelling conversations for our clients. I am delighted to have Michael, Shinal and Sophie join us in leading this exciting and business-defining journey.”
