M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment Named UK PR Agency for WHOOP

M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment has been named the UK PR agency for leading fitness wearable brand WHOOP following an extensive competitive review. The agency will lead a comprehensive communications program to elevate WHOOP and introduce the brand to the UK market. 

WHOOP is the human performance tracker that delivers 24/7 personalised fitness, sleep and recovery data in real time with the aim of helping users unlock their potential. Worn by elite athletes including Premier League footballers and PGA golfers to international rugby players and NFL stars, WHOOP provides a competitive advantage and optimises performance by measuring recovery, strain and sleep with industry-leading accuracy.

The Boston-based company raised $100m in Series E funding in October, making WHOOP a start-up unicorn valued at $1.2 billion with investment from the likes of 4x Major Champion Rory McIlroy, Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes, 2x NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant, 11x Pro Bowler Larry Fitzgerald and 2x Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning. On January 6, WHOOP announced a landmark multi-year partnership to become the official fitness wearable of the PGA TOUR

M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment – a creative communications agency that specialises in connecting brands to consumer passion points through data-led insights and provocative creative that earns attention – will collaborate with WHOOP to raise its profile in the UK, as well as lead on the global strategy from its New York office and launch in the German market.
